Here is a short video showing our own project cars and the next project, the RSR filmed at Abingdon Airfield.
Big thank you to Mission Motorsport for organising the use of the airfield, and everyone else that helped with photos and videos on the day.
Today saw the first Luftgekühlt on British soil, and of course it rained...a lot. Luckily it was still a great turnout with some really cool aircooled cars, some familiar and some new. We both hope it becomes a reoccurring event.
Great turnout! Thanks all for attending. We will do another later on in the year.
It was great to see such a huge gathering of air-cooled Porsches. We can't wait for the next one.
Yesterday we held our second cars and coffee with the addition of a BBQ. The weather was perfect and we had an amazing turnout. Thanks everyone for attending, we hope to organize another one soon - subscribe to our news letter to stay updated about future events and news.
The furthest north I've visited is Fort William, even this provides great driving roads and outstanding scenery.
Last week I finished work early and went with a group of friends to do the North Coast 500. We stopped in Carlisle Thursday night to make the trip to the first Scottish hotel (The Torridon) a little shorter. The road to this place, A896, was a taster of what to expect.
We started off with the Applecross to Shieldaig Road which looped back around to The Torridon Hotel. We then went North along the A832, A835 & A894, stopping off at the best pie shop in the UK, before arriving at the Scourie Hotel.
The next day we went along the North coast to John o' Groats. We stopped at Cocoamountain for a hot chocolate and Weavers craft shop for some lunch, both highly recommended.
The last stop was in Dornoch where we spent the night in what looked like the hotel from The Shining! Luckily we spent most of the evening at the Dornoch Castle Whisky Bar.
The last day was was a 500mile blast back to reality.
Went to East London Porsche to see Magnus Walker, buy his book and get it signed. He took his time to chat with everyone that had waited to get their book signed. A few of us hung around after to see him get in the iconic white Martini liveried 930 Turbo that he saw when he was at the '77 Earls Court motor show, the car that started his love affair for Porsche. I even managed to get under the bonnet signed too.
Amazing weekend at Spa Classic, pics say it all...
Had a great day at Goodwood's 75th Members Meeting. Some amazing race cars, makes me wish I was this age back in the 70's.
Popped over to Alexandra Palace yesterday to see whats going on at the Classic and Sports Car Show. I planned on taking the 3.2 but it's a bit poorly at the moment, hopefully just a coil.
