These lightweight units ( 2.6kg to 3.9kg) offer increased cranking speeds and considerably more cranking power than original units, whilst drawing less current from the battery. The units are ideal for road competition applications, especially where engines have been tuned and adverse conditions require extra performance from the starter motor. All these starters are a direct replacement for original units and require no modifications to the vehicle on which they are installed. The compact lightweight units are often easier to install than the original unit and units are modified where necessary to aid fitment.

The new Ultra Lightweight, high performance, slimline starter motor for all variants of 911 from 1965-1989 has a 1.2Kw motor with gear reduction and weighs only 2.6Kg's! Measuring only 148mm from front of face plate to rear. There are 11 teeth but chamfered to work with 9 teeth as well.
